The pool stands at the International sports village among other sports facilities originally built as a training facilitator for the London 2012 Olympics. This swimming pool was built at an amazing 32 million pounds and stands today as in international standard swimming pool not only in name but also by deed. This particular pool has set a standard by which all pool in the UK should be built.
It is now known that when it was first opened 2008, there were about 3 million visitors during its first 6 months. This shows how popular the swimming pool is. The pool has been built as great care and with international standards. It consists of 10 lanes with 50 metres for the professional swimmers and 25m for the less serious. This truly great facility can easily hold a thousand spectators.
